Worshipful Master Kory Buechter
Kory Buechter
Kory Buechter is a dedicated special education mathematics teacher serving the Palm Springs Unified School District. With more than 13 years of teaching experience, Kory is honored to work with students who face challenges in learning mathematics and takes great pride in helping them build confidence, develop new skills, and achieve their academic goals.
Kory earned his bachelor’s degree in History from California State University, San Bernardino and received his teaching credential from the University of Redlands. He later earned a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Concordia University.
Family is an important part of Kory’s life. His wife and stepdaughter immigrated to the United States from Thailand, and he greatly enjoys spending his summer vacations traveling to Thailand to visit and spend time with his wife’s family. He is especially proud of his stepdaughter, who learned English remarkably quickly, graduated from high school, and is now continuing her education at California State University, San Bernardino.
Kory is also deeply committed to serving his community. An avid runner, he participates in numerous charity races and can often be found competing in a half marathon about once a month during the cooler months. His commitment to helping others extends beyond running. Kory is a proud 14-gallon-plus blood donor and regularly supports his local blood bank by donating plasma and platelets one to two times each month. He also helps organize the blood drives hosted by his Masonic Lodge twice each year.
In addition to his work with the blood bank, Kory supports organizations that serve both people and animals in his community, including the Palm Springs Animal Shelter and Shriners Children’s Hospital.
Through his career in education, commitment to his family, dedication to charitable service, and involvement in his community, Kory strives to make a positive difference in the lives of those around him.
